hello all
I have just bought a n14 sss and just wanted to know what speakers to put in the front. I wish to use the standard locations.
any thoughts?

Yeh mate, most people here have put 6.5" speakers in the standard front door location. It's probably a good idea to make a thin MDF circle thingy so that your speaker is not screwing directly into the metal.
I picked up a nice pair of lanzar splits (150rms) for $194, so am currently working on putting the in front doors. :)

I got some MB Quartz to fit in there nicely and they sound great. Running off the amp not the deck but either way still a good brand.

Yeah I've also had Alpine 6.5" in the standard locations.. With the tweeters up on the dash. Just bought a set of MB Quarts and they are heaps better, excellent quality. Positioning them makes a huge difference to the sound quality. I'm making door pods for them, so that they are facing upwards more.
Hopefully they turn out ok, done them for my old car before.

personally if ya got the cash to flash
i would recomend a set of boston pro 6.5"
only 60mm deep
up there with the dynaudios
speaking of them the 240gt will also fit nice
and are about the same price as the pro's
