Coming home from work yestaday. snapped 3 rocker arms. the flamin thing things cost $95.00 each. times that by eight (coz it would be stupid to replace just the 3 = $800.00 plus fitting. i have a spare engine that i just pulled out. this one is newer damn it! any ideas if i can get the other rocker arms from the other engine and put them as they are ok? or should i just bite the bullet (be cheaper than all new rocker arms) and get the old head reconditioned (it has 200 thousand km on it) and get it port and polished costing me $550.00 plus labour to fit. also if i send the head to someone and they want the bare head that means leaving the cams on, coz they have to be put on when the head gets rebuilt/reassembled anyways? IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM. HAS IT HAPPENED TO OTHERS! AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! :thwap: :thwap: :thwap:
