I went out for a bit of a spin tonight and i got the distinct impression that the clutch was slipping. But it is possible that it could be a bit of wheel spin and the tyres are getting very low. So i was wonder of anyway of testing if the clutch is slipping. I tried applying the handbrake and raising revs while letting the clutch out and all seemed fine. anyone else got any other suggestions. Also tried revving it out a bit in first and then lifting the foot off and letting it slow on compression. Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to test your clutch go out in it doing approx 50kph in 3rd gear put your foot to 1/2-3/4 throttle and quickly push the clutch to the floor and let it go, try this 3 times in a matter of 2min and you will know how your clutch is.

The best way to test slip clutch is to start the car, put it in 4th gear, right foot on brake and slowly release the clutch. Normally the car should stall around the half contact point. If it stall after that, your clutch is slipping!

Thanks for that guys. After trying both i have come to the conclusion that the clutch isnt slipping and it must have been the wheels spinning. So that is good news for my bank balance
