Throttle Body Clean

Hi Guys,

Anyone done a TD clean properly? Is it better to take off or do it on car? What do i need if im going to take it off? new gaskets?

If i do it on car how should i do it? car running? what stuff?

Hi! How are ya?

I've cleaned out the TB a few times now and what seems to work for me to leave it still attached to the car, grabbing a can of carbi cleaner and a rag, spray cleaner into rag and clean in front and behind the butterfly, leaving the butterfly open, clean the back of the butterfly as well.
Also while you are in the mood, its best to clean out the EGR valve as well. If you need instructions for this go to www.sr20de.net under 'Problems & Fixes'
