i was just wondering if anyone here knows the model/part number for the sr20 gearbox or just the bell housing with the LSD?

The sr20 fwd doesn't have lsd mate the sr18 has afaik.

I can get u nissans Part number for a standard sr20 gearbox thou.

Mate,

The part numbers you are after are as follows:

RS5F32V - This is the LSD box that comes with Pulsar/Sunny Gti with the SR18DE motor.

RS5F32A - This is the non-LSD box that comes with all other SR20DE based cars like Pulsar Q, Ti, SSS, NX, NX-R.

If you know a supplier for the LSD box let me know!

roughly how much would the sr18 lsd box be?

And does it bolt upto a sr20de or det?

also are the gear ratios very different?

Yes the LSD box bolts straight onto any FWD/AWD SR20DE(T). You can PM "counterman" (Mark) from www.pulsarparts.com.au as he gets them in occasionally.

oh.. ok then, i thought the sss pulsars had an lsd.. oh well, its all good.

i just wanted to see if they were the same gearbox/bell housing with the sr20/ka24 from my trx, as i'm looking into an sr20det swap and if i could save money by not having to buy another gearbox (my ka24 one is only 9 months old) then i'd be pretty happy :D

the ka24e gearbox bolts onto the ca20e, and the ca20e gearbox bolts onto the ca18 (apparently) therefore the ka24 box would fit the ca18, so i thought maybe they might be interchangeable with the sr20 too.

nah mate, the ca18 definitely has a different gearbox to the sr20.. at least in the fwd config anyway.. i know of a person who has converted his ca18det exa to an sr20det, and he needed the sr gearbox as the ca unit would not bolt up..

all CA18 and sr20 boxes are different, and i think SSS N15s all came with a lsd, because my flatm8 has a 99 n15 sss and it has one, and another guy i know has one 2. Perhaps it was an option on n14s or something :confused:

but rwd is easy on sils there is orange sticker on the passenger side axle...this means lsd :thumbsup:

No N15 SSS don't have LSD the GTI N15 i think has the LSD ( i think)

Some primeras have the lsd box to. Also some n14 gtis have the lsd.
