Has anyone got a workshop manual diagram showing the location of the fill holes for the gearbox oil? I'm interested in dumping whatever's in there and refilling it with a good synthetic. redline would be beautiful but it's like paying for liquid gold, so I will probably use castrol syntrax (not syntrans) instead which seems to be cheap and well recommended.

If you look at the car from the front, and look directly below the battery on the front of the gearbox, you will see a square threaded plug. You fill the gearbox from here. The best way to get this off is with a ratchet and an extension bar. If, like mine, it is near impossible to undo, get your hands on an oxy and heat it up a bit, should screw out very easily then.
The drain plug should be on the bottom of the gearbox.

Ah, yeah I noticed those bolts today and wondered if it was them. seemed to be 2 on the front of the gearbox, but i'll have a closer look.
Side note, replaced dirty paper filter with clean unifilter and it's sucking air a lot more readily from the intake duct when I tug on the throttle lever. Seems to go harder too, took it for a quick strap :D

i've got a copy of the nissan service manuals for the n14 pulsar.. if you ever need to find things like that i should be able to help.. most driveline stuff is common between the n14's and n15's :)
