Hi All
I wish to know who here in Australia has succesfully hooked up the Gti lsd box to their sr20/det engine. If they have... is it possible to run through any problems encountered when fitting the box...Do the shafts need modding??? Enquiring mind...
Cheers, Steve

simon and james from WA have both fitted these gearboxes to their n14's.. james has a u12 sr20det, simon a rnn14 sr20det.
as far as i know, the box itself bolts straight in but you will need custom driveshafts.

Hey Stusse,
There are a few guys over here in NZ that have done the DET conversion into their GTi's and as far as I know they didn't have any issues with bolting the standard LSD box straight up, and nothing custom required.
Hey Dan are you refering to James Mandy? cause isn't he still using the standard SSS box, which doesn't have an LSD. If not I stand corrected :)
anyway, hope this helps.

i believe the 1.8 LSD box is in transit to the PULSSSAR residence .. and currently he has the STD 2.0 ltre version in there.
I didn't think there were any custom bits required either. for the price it's not a bad buy either.

Hey cheers for clearing that up podgesss :)
didn't realise he'd decided on a box, last I heard he was after a mechanical one not a viscous one, will be interesting to hear how he get's on once it's in!

It's not too much of a problem getting them hooked up. When ordering the motor ensure you get them to send us both drive shafts.
cheers,
Lance:thumbsup:
