Hey guys,

Just looking for some info on doing a 4wd conversion if anybody can help me out?

Current Ride is an N15 Pulsar SSS S2 with a Bluebird SR20DET conversion.

Mods:

GTiR NISMO Rally Mounts
Custom Fuel Rail
550cc injectors
Bored Out Throttle Body and Plenum
s14 T28 Turbo (std is T25)
Ported & Polished exhaust manifold
Ported & Polished Turbo Exhaust Housing
Front Mount Cooler 700(l) x 280(h) x 80(w)
Wolf 3D v.4 Computer
Custom 3inch Exhaust from turbo
etc... etc...

I only just finished the car to find that my rings were gone. The engine is out now and is on its way for a full rebuild with GTiR Conrods and custom made Forged Pistons, Port/Polished Head, etc...

Does anyone know if it would be possible to get a GTiR 4wd gearbox under there with driveline? I've had the car looked at but the guys were unsure. I was told its possible but might cost a lot in custom fabrications. I think ive spent enough on custom crap (list of mods above is only a general one... trust me) and i need to know if it will be a VERY hard to do setup or just a bit of fiddling around? ANY help would be great here guys, thanks.

Riste.

riste hope to see ya at the next melb meetup mate

as for the n15, well only in japan did they release the n15 rezzo which was 1.6 litre AWD.

Im guessing theres gonna be heavy modification to ur chassis...esp where the fuel tank and spare wheel arches are in order to fit a diff ect in there....

if you're cashed up...well yup its possible.....

let us know what u decide mate

just a question on your IC?

is the 700(l) the overall length including the tanks?

Im looking at a custom IC for mine and not sure about dimensions and sizes

cheers

Riste,

A GTi-R wreck wouldnt be *that* expensive, and buying just the required parts even less so.. however as there is different suspension in the n15's compared to the n14's, I'd say it will involve a fair bit of custom fabrication.. As dom said there was a awd N15 released in Japan.. perhaps you could ask a wrecker to hunt some parts down for you?

Failing that.. there is also a FWD LSD gearbox available that'll suit your application.. it's from the GTi Pulsar, with the SR18DE engine. It has lower ratios than the standard gearbox and a viscous LSD. If you want to PM me I'll find you the part number. I beleive counterman from Pulsar Parts (see www.pulsar.org.au/sponsors.php) can source these :)

Hope this helps :)

Marcus22, i double checked it yesterday for ya.

The exact Dimensions are;

Core Only - 600 x 280 x 84
With Tanks - 700 x 280 x 84

This fills up the whole openeing on the front of the standard bar. i just cut out all the crap from the centre and all the edges to make it fit. i can send you a pic if you like? Or i can post one on here if i just knew where :D

thanks

Just measuring up for an ic for my pulsar and I thought 700 would be including the tanks to leave room for piping. A pic could be much appreciated.
