ok firstly what does subscribe to this forum do???

secondly ive forgotten what i was gonna say :o

oh yeah... in the list of forums they are all lit up (yellow) except for the personal messages

how do i grey them out... ive read all of the messages in them

the yellow lit icon indicates new posts in that forum right?

subscribe to this forum will send you an email message when there is a new post made in that forum. i'm not sure if it will send you another email when there is a second post made.

it will, however, detect when you've read that forum and send you an email again when the next new post comes in. pretty handy for slow forums, a bit useless if you check it every day.

you can subscribe to threads which is a bit more usefull if there is a thread you're dying for information from. does the same thing as subscribe to forum except on a thread basis.


try the mark all forums read link that is (i think) in the top right hand corner of the forum. possibly down a tad. if you cant find it just goto edit find (on this page) and search for "as read".
