Would having your license suspended affect your insurance policy when it is due for renewal ?

As far as i know from trying to get a cheaper insurnace it will have some effect.

if you're renewing your policy it will have less of an effect than starting a new policy with a lost license on your record.

You have to let them know though, as they can use it against you to refuse a claim if you don't.

you'll find that the insurance cost will not go up when you renew your policy but that your general excess will go up..

i'm currently on suspension also and my renewal came while i was still suspended. best to tell them everything.

hey guys.....

thats right when u renew ur insurance the only thing that goes up is ur excess....

i know from experience.....

i get my licence back on tuesday and i havent driven my SSS since i bought it 4weeks ago......

when i rang for insurance i told them that my licence has been suspended and they told me that my excess is now $1000.... rather than the original $400.....

well im sure i will see you all on tha road sumtime....

thats if i dont get busted again....:wave:
