The April cruise will be our Easter Cruise. Our end point will involve a bbq lunch at Sandy Beach Reserve.

BBQ Sausages, rolls, onion, sauce etc will be available for $1 each, soft drinks are available for $1 a can or $1 for a bottle of water.

We will be holding the final committee voting for the event's co-ordinator positions as well as an easter raffle for a 1kg easter egg for 50c per ticket.

Please bring your own chairs if you have them, footies, cricket set etc etc. You're welcome to bring your own food as well, there is plenty of space on the bbq's.

I hope to see as many of you there as possible! It should be a top day!

the furgeson valley is not too far and they have fires etc out near the lake

Ok guys, I went to Garvey Park today to double check everything and scope it all out and I have to say that is one awesome place.

There are heaps of free bbq's and seating, its all under shade of huge gum trees, theres a basketball hoop/court, plenty of parking, heaps of open space/green grass, the river about 100m from the bbq's and the newest/cleanest public toilets I've ever seen (points for the ladies!)

Final cruise details will be put out Monday night to the email reminders. Cruise will be meeting at 11am at the Narrows, 11:45am depart.

Cruise will be short and to the point (Garvey Park).

BBQ sausages, bread, sauce, onions etc will be available for $1 each, cans of soft drink $1 each also. You are welcome to bring your own meat & beverages if you wish.

If you have a cricket set or footy please bring it along :)

Anyways, I hope to see everyone there!!!

Saw this japspec parked, dark blue, had the plates "92.9" (like the radio station) and then it started up, and this lady reversed it right into a pole and im like nooo! I updated the first post the other night, all the info is in there. I spent 3 hours driving along the river checking out a heaps of different places after work on Tuesday. We're going to Sandy Beach Reserve instead now. Has all the same facilities of Garvey Park just not as new.

hey yeah was quite a enjoyable cruise, with jas's bare foot toe punting of the football and the little kids using the pulsar banner roller to bash each other with haha. thanks for the great cruise guys and gals. was a good day, except its a shame the actual cruising bit was a bit dismal for some. im not bothering putting up a vid since is basically just chat between matt, ryan and myself at all the friggin red lights we got!

Was a good cruise as usual.

The bird jumping around on all of us was awesome, was so funny when it flew to the picnic blanket and gaz goes "har you're trapped" and starts pulling the blanket towards him hahaha. Also well done on winning that easter egg that's bigger than the person you're going to give it to haha.

Congrats to the new events co-ordinators! I cant wait to get involved in some events this year :)

christine i can assure you i don't bite lol, nah honestly being from quite a way away i started coming to these cruises only knowing one or two people and now i pretty much just talk to everyone now. I found this club to have very nice people and if they do bite you they would generally have a reason :P

it will be more likely the 4th of May you need off. the 1st is a Tuesday, and Easter was an exception. Normally they are night cruises on the first Friday of each month.

Adelaide was great for that sort of thing... so many hills. Let's see if we can't find a whole load of bendy roads rather than endlessly going straight.

Have a look around near Auralien (or however you spell that) off the Brookton Highway, see if there's anything round there :)

That's possibly the only thing I would trade back for... the view of the city and suburb lights at night from the top of Crafers.

Anyhow, enough of the daydreaming. Bunno was great... nice and relaxing... now I have to clean the house and unpack, oh yay for me!

Edit: Top stuff Gazza. Any chance of stopping for picknick lunch at the botanic gardens? It really is quite lovely in there!! not sure if they have a BBQ though, and I think there's possibly a cover charge to get into the gardens. Might be worth checking out.
