Does anyone know of some places to go mountain biking in the NW of TAS.

I ride everywhere including to work and school but I don't know of any good places to go riding when I have time off.

Any ideas or suggestons would be great.

If any of you want to riding one day I'm keen:thumbsup:

Stupid mountain bike!!!

Its supposed to be a cheap form of reliable transport but today after 3 and a bit weeks of use the damn thing has a random failure and its gonna cost a couple of hundred to get fixed!

Mines a Giant also. Giant Talon
Looks like the front derailer shifted on the frame which caused the chain to slip off and get jammed in between the crank and frame.
To get the chain out I had to take a couple of bolts out of the crank. The ones that hold the smallest gear on. When I unscrewed them the thread came out at the same time.
SO it'll be at least a new crank arm on the right side and maybe a new front derailer!!!!

you cant beat Giant for value for money. My cousin owns a bike shop and cant believe how they do it across their whole range.

I picked up a 2006 Giant AC (dual suspension, Hayes disc brakes, Deore fruit and SRAM gears) for $1200 (trade price). The thing is a straight out of the box military spec with potential to be a downhilling monster with rear suspension (maybe fork) and rim upgrades.

And for the record Im jealous you all live in the best state for mountain biking so meugh :Flipa:

As silly as this might sound, I don't know of any great spots to go riding.

Anyone know of any in the NW?

I would break this bike in a race.... Not enough hardkor gear on it. I have a habit of smashing bottom brackets and derailers, but my Marin B17 (upgraded) has not missed a beat to date....

Giant make some okay bikes, your cousin needs to have faith in the bikes he sells, or he wouldn't sell them. For some good bikes, have a look at Norco, Felt, mmmm Santa Cruz.... The list goes on, as I said, they make some okay bikes, just not the best....
