The Velocity Car Club’s Winter Relief Appeal Charity Cruise is an annual event that supports the worthy Examiner Winter Relief Appeal.
The Winter Relief aims to raise funds for those less fortunate in our local community, who often struggle to make ends meet during the cold winter months.
Anyone is welcome to attend the event, from members of other car clubs around the state and their relatives and friends, to members of the general public.
We ask that people attending this cruise pay a $10 donation to the appeal. This covers the driver, their car and any passengers in that car. We do however ask that passengers make their own donations during the day. Club members will be walking around at all stops with collection tins for this purpose.
All funds raised during the Examiner Winter Relief Appeal are distributed equally to the Salvation Army, the City Mission, the St Vincent de Paul Society and the Launceston Benevolent Society.
Last year, Velocity raised a total of $1427.75c for the Appeal.
With your support, we hope to achieve similar results for 2007.
Cheers,
Velocity Administration.
