hi guys,
ive just spent all day pulling my car apart and putting the alpine amp i bought in, and its not working. I went and bought 120$ worth of new wiring and wired it all up again, still no go. Tried my old pioneer amp, works fine. The alpine amp gets a power light but no sound comes out. Any ideas what it could be, im thinking about just taking it somewhere to get checked out.
Cheers

a few questions...
is it a new amp?
are the rcas hooked up? properly?
are the speaker wire hooked up? properly?
have you checked the settings on your h/u?
Usually there is a troubleshooting section in the amp manual that tells you what to do too.

maybe it has blown outputs. take it somewhere to get checked or hassle who you bought it off

if it does have a blown output, would it be expensive to fix?

err, dunno, maybe fire off an email to Alpine Australia to see what they can do?

do you get any noise at all through the speakerss? any sshhh noise / feedback / static noise.???
make sure the earth is grounded properly.. make sure nothing is shorting out..
do you have a mates car you can plug the new amp into to test it in a different car.

Just open her up :).
Check for burnt things :)
jsut don't touch anything just take the cover off.
If something is burnt take it to get repaired.
As a couple caps and resis blew in one of my amps, so i took the cover off and found this out took it to get repaired and it worked fine.
A light was on which to me looked like the power light But it was a green Protection light.
