[new N13]

I had this AVC (advanced vehicle components) 4 channel 600watt amp...i paid $250 for it...It was very powerful and blew out a pioneer 12" diamond plate sub! i was just wondering what you guys thought of AVC or if any of you have ever heard of it before?!

Never heard of it... But just cuz u blew ur sub, doesnt mean it's powerful... U could have been sending the sub a clipped signal and that blew it...

Whats the deal...i was told that you can burn out a good sub if your amp isnt feeding enough power into it...i have no idea if this is true but i just tought it wouldnt be as powerful!?
Oh well just thought it was a good question.

yeah thats right. As I said above, if your amp gives the sub a distorted signal, that is worse for the sub than giving it too much power and the sub distorting. Understand? See when an amp "clips" (distorts), it sends a square wave to the sub, unlike a rounded wave, and this is bad! leads to burning voice coils...

good 4 channel amps are arond $500 bucks. ( even more)
