Well as a lot of you know I've been very slowly getting the chance to create the members database.

I thought that today while I had a spare 5 minutes (it's not really 'spare' but who cares) I'd write a little update so that you all know that I'm not: dead/at the bottom of an inconspicuous river/crushed in a garbage compacting unit.

First things first, I'm going to use this smiley because it rocks

Heh. OK. Well there hasn't been much more progress on the database itself, however, I have developed the image uploads, so soon-ish I'll fix up the last few details and you can all start adding photos to your profiles. Each user can have up to 6 photos and they can be uploaded through the website.

I've also coded an automated gallery script (with automatic paging and thumbnail creation) that Splash requested so that he can easily manage and upload the masses of photos you've all wanted online - so keep an eye out for that in the next few days.

There is one issue that I have to speak to Booba about first though (maybe he can answer it in the forums): the FTP account won't allow me to delete any of the thumbnails generated by the script - permissions problem Booba? It won't let me change their permissions either.

Anyway, that's the latest. The database currently has the details that the forum has (car, occupation, etc) and I'll be adding some additional more detailed fields per the requests in other threads. Hopefully it won't be too far off now.

I think I'm pretty capable of designing it ;)

Thanks for the offer though - what I really need is an additional 8 hours in each day, heh.
