Shouldn't this be kept to private sales, if companies want to sell products here then they should contact admin and look for a way to benefit the group. ie. official sponsors and so forth.

I reckon if a company wants to promote something to us pulsaar people, then they should offer a discount or special offer to only us and then that would be appropriate to sell stuff on this forum

i would have to agree on you guys there.
and YES a discount is given to all of the clubs/friends/business's that i associate with.

im sure a few of you guys that have dealt with me would agree that my prices are more than reasonable.

Friends/Club Members/Business Associates usually get a good price of up to 50% off the normal price

and even at full price im cheaper generally than everyone else.

i dont see any harm in club members advertising what they do or
things they can get cheap or anything like that.
and if i didnt advertise on here or performance forums or twincam16.com and all the other forums then no one would ever know who i am or what i do. most of my work comes from people like urselves who are into cars, cruising and phat tunes etc.
help each other out i say.

i am interested also in any sponsorship deals
i would love to help some people out in return for the great business i get from you guys.

also if anyone has any goods of value and in return want some nasty graphics or stickers, then i would be keen to work something out perhaps

anyway enough babble
but hey thats just my opinion
im off to bed.

Yeh im nearly off to bed unless i fall asleep behind the box.

Yeh Exodus Design i agree with you with everything you say and when i wrote wat i wrote i was aiming it at people who just join the forum to sell something and then never write on the forum again.
You are an actual pulsar owner and you conveniently have good contacts or work to help us out which i know every one of us do appreciate so i hope you didnt get the wrong impression

I was mainly aiming at the one off people sellin their stuff such as previously with the radar detector sale. He was here for about a week and then left the forum, he just came to drop an advrtisement and hopefully get some business and then pissed off, he probably dosent even know what an sr20 is

Anyways im off to bed also mate

the general rule is that commercial (advertising) messages are permitted in the trading post so long as there is some benefit to the community for having them there.

this means a discount, extra service, hard to find parts, etc.

i dont beleive that flat-out banning them is the best tactic as having retailers involved with the group with benefit both the group and the retailer. having paid advertisements on the site is possibly a bit too to ask at the moment. (we're popular, but not *that* popular).

threads such as the one by 'nomorefines.com' will not be permitted in the future as i cannot identify any benefit to the community from having it there.

another thing in regards to the trading post: thread hijacking. this happened quite a bit with the clear indicators.. i dont want to see any post hijacking at all in the trading post. make your own thread, keep it fair.

Yeah I agree with you guys, nothings free these days and if they wanna advertise then the least they could do is offer a small discount. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I haven't been impressed with the number of companies signing up as members just to post commercial ads, particularly when they try to dress the ads up as informative posts.

I go to great efforts with software cracks/host files etc so I don't have to view advertising and it saddens me to have to sift through it on this site.

I'd like to see seperate trading post sections for private & commercial ads, I aslo think we should consider placing guidlines for companies wishing to post advertisments on our forum, such as discounts or other group incentives, as commercial advertising should not be free.

Joey.
