Nos girl's post had about eight 'f' words in one short sentence, which some of us thought was a little over the top. It's ok to swear but excessive swearing is not warrented nor accepted. This has nothing to do with gender either.
Nos girl didn't get in trouble as such, we simply asked her to tone it down.

Swearing should only be used IMo when it changes or enhances the expression of a sentence.
Not used because its cool or just for the sake of it.
IMO anyway.

I don't see why this is still a problem.

She did NOT get in to trouble for swearing. As Spectrix said her post had about eight 'f' words in one short sentence and she was simply asked nicely to tone it down a little bit.

We don't want to put a complete ban on swearing here. We're all adults (I hope) and we should be able to control our language without going over the top.

no sexism, no discrimination, none of that.. just nosgirl's post (we thought) was a bit more over the top than the others and required to be fixed up a little. no hard feelings at all, but please remember this is a *public* forum and what you say here reflects upon the group as a whole.

No need for excessive sweariing unless warranted i say!

If someone swears at someone else it is different to if someone swears when talking about something but not meaning to offend anyone, if you think there is a problem with sexism then maybe raise it with the all moderators for them to discuss.

and i just have to add :gives:

I've had enough for the record this is why i was allowed to swear and the other person (sorry forget your nick on this board) was not.

This board features a system that detects excessive swearing the reason why most post was allowed was my account is an administrative account and administrators can bypass the rules.

I will try to tone down my posts in the future.

I am closing this thread.
