ive used a combo of flashtac and brown bread, and i cant find anything wrong with flashtac. Its sticky as, cheap, and it works pretty well.
The bostik stuff had some very bad problems, that it hardened up and cracked off, or that it just didnt stick.

Those 2 products are from jaycar right? The top one is "brown bread" as Rich mentioned. use that to stop vibrations inside the door, on the outer/inner doo skins, use that other product under ur floor. It does best by stopping noises, not vibrations, so layer that on ur floor, and use the brown bread for your doors!

Anyone Have any idea how much the Brown Bread costs ? I put some of the Jaycar stuff in my front doors, just up to the Intrusion bar, but hte glue i used didn't set and the stuff fell down and i've just found out today. I'd use the jaycar stuff again without hesitation, but just wondering what's the best way to put the stuff on ??
The Jaycar stuff i used was Cat AX-3682 which i'd like someone to tell me if it's like the Brown bread stuff, 'coz i want to do it right this time and not have to pull my doors apart, again !!!
EDIT: or should i use Cat AX-3684 ??

You should be using AX-3684 for the doors, as that is 'Brown Bread'.
You can use AX-3682 underneath the floor carpet, as that is what it is designed for.

Ahh ok, excellent, it would be my luck to use the wrong stuff !!! oh well !! I'll probably grab a a roll during the week and see how i go with it.
If anyone in Sydney is looking at deadening their doors can the please post here or to the EGroups so we can do a Bulk Purchse of the stuff, much cheaper that way!! Also if anyone knows anywhere to get the stuff cheaper (either jaycar stuff or the "real" brown bread) please let me know.

If you goto the Car Audio Australia online store, they have several products designed specifically for sound deadening at some very good prices :)
I've used Flashtac and it is VERY sticky, especially when its warm... Just be careful when applying it, cos it's hard to remove once its on.

The Jaycar stuff = Brown Bread (i meant that, but didnt say it too clearly).
I second the online CAA store (http://www.caraudioaustralia.com)'s sound deadener as well. I have heard good reports on its usage, and it is cheap too.

Hey all,
Just bought 2 rolls of the Jaycar Brown Bread sound deadener. Very good stuff. They say that one roll will do a door. But if wanna do it properly - two rolls for each front door (n14 pulsar).
I worked it all the way along the door skin (under the intrusion beam). Really good stuff - easy 2 work. It now sounds like my door trim is back on, and the door has a nice "clunk" sound upon closing. Will also sound deaden the back of the trims with the paint on stuff.
Going down 2 Jaycar 2 buy 2 more rolls. Thanks for the advice & recommendations!
Cheers & Thanks,
Mark

yeah, when i first did my doors, i bought two rolls (cause they reckon one roll is enough for one door).
I got home, and the two rolls barely covered half of one door, so I went back and bought 6 more rolls. :D
The guy thought I was a whacko, so he gave me a free catalogue :rockin:
(note, my car is a coupe, with big doors. dont follow this advice for a n14/n15)
