View Full Version : Nominations for Moderators Please

Hi everyone,

Now that the forums are getting a bit busier its getting harder and harder to keep up with all the posts from a moderators point of view.

My idea is that we get a person from each state to moderate their specific section of the Cruises / Events forums. Once they prove themselves here, they will be given moderator access to the rest of the forum.

What I want from you are nominations of people you believe you can trust to moderate fairly. I'd like to hear reasons for your nomination, and I'll let you nominate yourself aswell. :D

I look forward to hearing from as many people as possible.

Cheers,

Jasssper & Markp for VIC. They did a great job organising the Melb cruise and have contributed many good responses.

Thanks Martin!

Don't forget Bonemachine - 1/3 of cruise was his effort (perhaps more). Maybe a three way split for the Melbourne moderator job. Ur call.

Cheers,

Mark

Yeah Danny I can help out if things are getting a but busy for you.
I usually log on 2 or 3 times a day from home and work and I've been pointing people towards the right sections and trying to ensure things run smoothly anyway.
Cheers

I quote the IM she sent me hahaha:

"nominate me bitch, i don't want to nominate myself"

How can you argue with that?

dan and splash are most suited to the job for qld as for the rest im sure you can work it out.

i'll just stick back and handle the technical aspects if they arise im sure you don't want a person with a hot temper to handle the moderation (*me laffs*)

Booba.

if you read my first post thats what I said I'm doing.. trialing people in their specific area, then if they can prove themselves there they will get moderator access to other parts of the forum.

I dont know what was said in this post but i do believe that we should have a sticky at the top of the forum sections with rules of posting, this would be good to clarify the rules to future moderators and will let members know why posts have been edited. These rules will also act as guidelines upon which moderators can act as well.

ie:
Language Issues
Company Defimation
Post Whoring, ie posting for no reason

anyways my 2c

The language you used could easily offend some of our female members, aswell as some guys too.

just a little funny one liner to lighten up the subject:angel:
This topic does not need to be lightened up. Its an important matter and if you cant take it seriously dont post in the thread.

The icon is intended to be used when its appropriate. Your joke in this thread was not. There is a time and a place for everything, and this was neither.

No offence, but I am only going to give moderator access to people that can show me they have the maturity and understanding to use it. Unfortunately your posts have shown me that you're not the right person for the job.

Ok everyone I have added some moderators to the Cruises/Events sections.

At this stage they are:

NSW: XLNSSS

VIC: Markp

(this was a tie between Markp, Bonemachine and Jasssper. I have given it to Markp for now, but if he would rather someone else do it I dont mind changing to one of the others)

SA: Miss Nismo

WA: PULSSSAR

QLD: Spectrix

Originally I wasn't going to add anyone for QLD, but I know I can trust Spectrix to do the right thing, and I want moderators to learn on one forum first before we give them access to other areas.

If the new moderators need help with using their new access, or want some guidelines for moderation, please contact either me or dan.

Cheers.
