    Gtir compression test/miss fire

So our gtir has a misfire and is pressuring the cooling system.
We did a comp test and had 158-138-138-158 would this be causing our misfire and pressure issue? The oil isn't milky and the water isn't oily. The cooling system has been bled correctly, seems to be using a little water though.

    Head gasket gone?

maybe the head gasket gone in between cyl 2 and 3 and not where any oil or water channels run.

maybe get a bore scope camera thing and see if u can see.

With compression that low in 2&3 would have to be a head gasket surely. Maybe if only 1 cylinder was low I'd perhaps blame something else but the same low reading in both is a giveaway

pulled the plugs out this arvo and found 4th cylinder plug to basically be unused.. all the other are fine, looks pretty rich.
not sure if it is a faulty injector?

    any ideas?

Do a continuity test of the suspect injector plug

An easier way is to take off the injector plug connector and see if it makes any difference to running. if no difference, stuffed injector, if difference injector is working.

Try spark plug lead and contact in distributor cap.

You have probably already checked these but no harm mentioning just in case.

Well that is sort of floored if it's an issue other than a dead injector. Going off your method you could easily blame the injector when it could be caused by a loose plug or other fault "upstream" of the injectors. You should be checking the suspect plug for injector pulse while cranking car with ignition disconnected

this is exactly what we did, swaped the injector to a diff location first car ran the same, so wasnt the injector plug or lead.
pulled plug off the injector, nothing changed.
swaped out the injector to one we borrowed of mika, and car runs fine now

just need to sort out our not so "good condition" box
